Yasuo tilted his head and quirked a brow, giving Kayoko a quizzical look. "Huh? What do you mean?" Yasuo then looked back at where Kayoko had been looking.
"Why should we run...?"

Kayoko pointed at a group of people, Matoko and girls. Many girls. Makoto was very, very angry. How could she tell? His face was red. He matched up to Yasuo with his fans behind him. "Rematch! Now, while the teacher's gone!" "M-Matoko-san...Yasuo's very tired from fighting you already, don't you think-" "SHUT UP. The wussy new guy doesn't have the strength to fight again."

Yasuo's eyes twitched and he growled menacingly. "Don't ever yell at my friends," he managed between bared teeth. He clenched his fists and stared Makoto straight into the eyes. "Never make that mistake again, or you won't live long enough to regret it."
Makoto took a step back, his fan-girls following suit. But then he hesitantly grinned as some of his fans cheered. "Oh, touchy. You don't look strong enough to kill someone. Heck, you probably don't even have the guts to point a real sword at someone!"
Shing! Quickly, Yasuo had reached over to a small rack housing a large variety of swords. He had grabbed a slim and more stealthy looking one this time, but it was sharp and had no safety at the tip. Yasuo held the point at Makoto's neck, his eyes cold as ice and his voice even more chilling. "I advise you leave.." Then he waved the sword carelessly over to his entourage. "Take them with you. And none of you," he turned his attention to the fangirls, "should ever even lay a finger on my friend here. Unless you want to find yourself with a blade protruding from your torso. Got it?"
Squealing, the fangirls immediately ran off. Apparently, Yasuo thought, they got offended and scared easily. Makoto took a few steps back. "You better watch your back, Jiro! When I tell the teachers..."
"You tell the teachers," Yasuo interrupted, "and I'll put you through so much pain you'll beg for death." Then Yasuo turned back to Kayoko, unaware that he still had the sword in his hand.
"Sorry about that Kayoko.."

Kayoko smiled. "Oh, that's alright. You faced your fear, didn't you? I'm so happy you did!" She walked up to his side and hugged him gentily, but forgot one thing... Swish She forgot he was holding a sword. "Uh!...Oww.", Kayoko said as she examined the cut. Her uniform was ripped because it got her stomach, but luckally because she was in Daaku, her uniform was dark and hid the blood so Yasuo wouldn't worry. If he didn't find out. Kayoko smiled, but she was trying to hold back screaming. "I'm so so happy you conquered your fear, Yasuo-san."

Yasuo smiled and gestured for them to begin walking downtown to celebrate. But for some reason, his ears suddenly tuned into a different sound, one not coming from the various birds or his steps on the ground. This was more of a... Drip..tick..tock..drip Yasuo, ignoring the ticking, looked down at his blade. On the tip there was a stain of crimson, shining in the sunlight. He looked back at Makoto, who seemed to be perfectly fine, just a little off-put. Then he spun round to Kayoko.. There was a rip in her clothing.
"Kayoko!!" Yasuo cried out, dropping the sword. "No! No, this can't be..Kayoko!! I'll get you to the nurse's office, come on! Oh, this is all my fault.."

Kayoko smiled. "It's not deep, I'm fine. Really. Hmm...Oh boy.", She said, glancing at Matoko. He lost everything. A fan girl, the leader, was talking to him. And from his face it wasn't good.

Yasuo looked at Kayoko and returned his gaze to Makoto. There was written, plainly, that Makoto was getting some bad news. Very bad news. He seemed to try and get around it, but the coach of the fencing sport yelled and pointed..right at Yasuo.
Makoto slowly trudged up to Yasuo. "It..is my..duty to bestow upon you a mark of honor," the hothead spoke, the teacher standing right beside him. "For defeating me," Makoto gritted his teeth in anger, "You are named the best on the team...for now." The teacher suddenly chimed in, grinning widely.
"That was a stunning performance, Yasuo! We'd like to invite you back to participate in a tournament! You could win money, prizes and make a name for yourself. Imagine all the girls you could get, huh?" The sensai winked, nudging Yasuo and eyeing Kayoko. "Your friend could come in, free of charge and cheer for you in the front row! Makoto here is usually the one to go to the tournament for us, but as you can see," Coach gestured to a far wall, where mantles and trophies were hung. There were only three accomodating the otherwise bare wall, "We haven't won many. But with you, we could make it to the top! What do you say?"
Yasuo stared at the outstretched hand, turning to Kayoko. "Kayoko..I..should, or if I.." Yasuo stuttered, not making sense. "Should I?" he whispered, looking to his friend for advice.

Kayoko smiled gentily at him. "What do you think you should do?"

What did Yasuo think he should do? Fame - too much attention. Girls - way too much attention. Prizes - No feelings either way. But there was a strange voice inside, seemingly in rhythm with the ticking of Yasuo's internal clock.
"I..I think I'll do it," Yasuo smiled weakly, taking the coach's hand and shaking it meekly. "Good! We'll have you signed up! Be there," the coach yelled, walking away. Makoto growled and simply stomped out of sight.
"Was that the right thing, Kayoko? I'm not sure if I want all that attention.."

Kayoko looked at Yasuo worridly. "...Do you think you did the right thing? It still would have been the right thing if you said no.."
