Kayoko's face slightly dropped. "Ok...I should have known not everyone would have liked chocolate.." Then Kayoko heard Yasuo say something strange.. "Yasuo-san, what did you mean by that?? Echoes of fear?" Kayoko asked. Kayoko looked at Lenore, and smiled. "I was looking for both of you! It's not very fun if you can't share going to a party with all your friends! ...So will you guys please come?" Kayoko waited for both of their anwsers patiently.

Yasuo tuned Kayoko out for a while, before he blinked himself back into reality.
"Oh, eh...okay." Yasuo feigned a smile, his eyes quickly gazing upon Lenore before sweeping back to Kayoko. "I guess it is a little cold out here.."
Yasuo scratched his head, thinking about what it would be like in the party. Noisy? Empty? Lively? Depressing? Yasuo laughed at the last one. No way.. Not with people like this.

Kayoko smiled. "Tomomi's probably making it a party!" Kayoko bowed at them both. "Please come, it would be so nice!..But you don't have to." Kayoko smiled at Yasuo. "Please keep my shawl until you go inside! I hope to see you inside Lenore-san, Yasuo-san!" And with that, Kayoko quickly scurried away. (OCC: Doesn't the word: 'scurry' sound silly? ^^))

((Sorry it is so late...))
Lenore raised her eyebrow at Kayoko. This chick really was a little too happy. Maybe she was on something? Smirking despite herself, Lenore turned her attention to Yasuo as he spoke. What the hell was he talking about? "Echoes of fear"? Lenore shook her head at him. Lenore watched silently as Kayoko scurried off and then looked back to Yasuo.
Taking a strand of her dark hair and tucking it behind her ear, Lenore licked her lips and began petting Charlie. "You always that---what's the word?---Obedient?" She said, with a playful smirk."I would have never picked you for a sucker. But I suppose that brooding, sensitive type always is, on some level." Lenore put out her arm and let Charlie climb down to the ground, where he sat at her side staring at Yasuo. Without another look at Yasuo, Lenore began walking away, back in the direction in which she originally came. Suddenly, she shouted, "If you are going to that dance or party or whatever it is, I might see 'ya there." And without another word, she broke out into a run, laughing at Charlie and Lady trying to keep up beside her.

Yasuo sighed, listening to Lenore's words. She seemed to be trying to wake him up to something, but how ironic, he knew, that it was she who was blinded to a horrible truth. He could vaguely remember something, a name, a love and a lot of guilt. The guilt turned into fear.
Long ago, Yasuo had figured out how to tune the world out, to make himself totally stone-cold against the harsh realities of the world. But, after coming to this school, he had found himself beginning to feel those same feelings of being pursued, those feelings of guilt and total ignorance, but at the same time, the only one who held the knowledge of that one, life-changing event. It was like..
"Echoes of fear," Yasuo repeated to himself, after Kayoko and Lenore had gone. They would never really know what he meant by that, but they wouldn't have to. It would be best if they didn't.
"I've...always been obedient," Yasuo sighed, beginning to amble slowly after Lenore. With head lowered and hands stuffed into his pockets, he looked to the tree he had been leaning on.
"No matter what the cost. No matter what the loss. No matter what the mess. Complete your objective, for the better of the gang."
