Yasuo cleared his throat once more, bringing it upon himself to start this strange 'ritual' called dancing. He remembered seeing something on a movie once...so he did his best to try and copy it.
One, two, three - Yasuo began to move his left leg to the left and drag his right leg behind it. The pattern of this made a sort of circle, both dancers rotating slowly. A slow dance..Yasuo felt his heart in his throat. Was he doing this right?
"Sorry, I'm not very good," Yasuo admitted while they danced. He coughed, looking away in embarrassment.

Kayoko smiled. "It's alright. I think once I saw this in a movie.." She looked around, most people were doing worse than them, stepping on each others' feet. Kayoko smiled again. "See? Nobody's perfect at this dance!"

Yasuo quirked a brow at the other dancers. He knew they wouldn't be proffesional, but that bad...?
"Wow," Yasuo sighed, shaking his head. He grinned at Kayoko and continued the steps, getting more comfortable with them as time passed.
"Kayoko," Yasuo suddenly began as he twirled his partner around. "I want to tell you something," he coughed. His face was serious and his eyes were set back into that same empty look as before.

Kayoko immediatly put on a worried face. "Are you okay? Is something wrong? Are you sick?"

Yasuo chuckled. "No, don't worry. Just smile..I don't like seeing your face so filled with worry, though I appreciate the concern. I just wanted to say.."
Yasuo sighed, lowering his head and mumbling something. "Just wanted to say that I--...that you're a great friend. Thanks for everything." Yasuo gave Kayoko a small smile.

Kayoko smiled. "Oh! Thank you! I like to help people the best I can!" She looked at the clock, it said 11:30.. Kayoko was slightly freaking out. She had to study for a math exam! But she couldn't just leave Yasuo here.. A thought filled Kayoko's head as she was still dancing with Yasuo. It was worth a try.. Kayoko looked into his eyes and smiled again. "Thank you for the dance, Yasuo-san..I don't want to leave you alone so.." She quickly pecked Yasuo on the cheek. "..Take that with you." Kayoko smiled and blushed as she waved to Yasuo and left the dance.

Yasuo blinked in surprise, rubbing the place on his cheek where Kayoko had kissed him. He stood, unmoving, for a good fifteen minutes. By that time, mostly everyone had left and now there was only a few people, all of who were making their exit now.
"Take it with me..?" Yasuo smiled, starting to move to the door as well. "I'll take it with me, wherever I go..."

"So you're skipping out already, Yasuo? Should have known." A playful voice called at Yasuo from the doorway. Lenore leaned against the frame, her arms crossed across her chest and a smirk curling her lips, ebony hair falling in sheets around her shoulders. Although she was more than a little late, Lenore found herself wanting to leave as she stood in the doorway, watching couples flounder on the dance floor like the kids they were. How can people enjoy this. There is no good music to speak of and no one here seems to know how to dance. She was about to leave or do something drastic until she spotted two familiar people out on the dance floor.
Kayoko and Yasuo.
Finding this perfect, Lenore stood up straighter and watched them blunder across the floor, the blundering coming more from Yasuo's end then Kayoko's. She smiled. Well, I'll be. He actually came, and is dancing! After the dance, Kayoko left and gave Yasuo a parting gift, a gift Lenore could not tell if he liked or not from this distance. Kayoko brushed past her without a word, not that Lenore minded, and Yasuo was following her. Wanting more I suppose, Lenore thought with surprising bitterness.
Now, she looked upon Yasuo, her green eyes flat in the dimmed lights, but her hair shining enough for the both of them. Her over all appearance would be perhaps shocking to those who knew her well, but she decided to do something different for a change. Just this once. She was wearing dark red satin that complimented her skin perfectly, the dress reaching down to her mid-calf; the top of the dress was simple in it's spaghetti strap design, but she filled it out nicely, giving the dress the appearance of more elegance and decoration than what was there. Lenore wore simple shoes with an inch worth of heel---she loathed heels with more than a passion---and many could say she looked remarkably well.
"So, Yasuo, I did not know you could dance." She straightened herself away from the door frame and flicked a chunk of her ebony hair behind her shoulder as she looked at Yasuo with an unreadable look.
((sorry I havne't been on lately!))

"Neither did I," Yasuo muttered. He sighed and crossed his arms. "Nice dress," he complimented vaguely, nodding towards Lenore's attire. "Looks nice on you."
Yasuo crossed over a table that had serving snacks during the dance. Nothing there looked pleasing enough: cookies, some cake and the remains of what looked to be ice-cream. All of these would probably make Yasuo sick for a week.
"I'm guessing you didn't come here just to watch me dance, hm?" Yasuo asked, his back still to Lenore as he checked over the snacks. "If you did, I'd be a little scared," he joked.

"I'll take that comment as a compliment," Lenore said as she stepped away from the door frame, a smirk dancing like fire across her lips. In all honesty, Lenore hadn't come here to dance with anyone, assuming beforehand that no one could dance well enough for her anyway. Years of dance have turned out to be a blessing a curse, she thought. However, now that Yasuo seemed less than inclined to dance, Lenore found herself wanting to dance with him. Just to show him up or to spite him, both sounded fine. She wasn't a mean person (all the time) but she liked to bother people when the time came. But she wasn't going to be the one asking.
Lenore walked around the other end of the table, feigning interest in the provided snack foods. After a moment of looking and silence, Lenore looked at Yasuo (who seemed to have stopped near the ice cream part of the table) and pursed her lips in mock serious interest. "Ah, yes. Chocolate, vanilla and pistachio ice cream. Very deep subjects indeed. Many a man has fallen prey to their icy charm," Lenore said, her accented voice donning the low voice of a scientist or a scholar that knew what they were talking about and loved to rub it in others faces.
