Mika started fanning herself, trying to order her thoughts. Jun's reply had, to say the least, thrown her off. She agreed with some points, but had doubts about the others. Yes, you needed to feel some things to do them right, but knowing and feeling would make them perfect.
"Yeah, but don't you think you'd be better off without the so called lessons? I mean, if you question what you feel for someone, maybe you realize that your feelings are not that intense and when that happens, you start having conflicts with the person you lo-," she paused, a little unsure, but continued. "I mean the person you feel that for and that's when the broken heart happens. Why not just live happily ever after?"
Mika stopped her rant and sighed. Her cheeks colored when she realized just how much she'd said. She fanned herself again, the heat was unbearable. "Sorry, I think I just gave a speech," she said, in a calmer tone and chuckled. Wearing her heart on her sleeve was something new to Mika, but definitely refreshing. Though she couldn't deny it was embarrassing to talk about such things as love with someone you've just met.

"I suppose questioning your feelings is just something that the mind does in order to confuse the heart, especially if what the heart is feeling is questionable in the first place. I mean, if you're entirely sure that what you feel towards a person is right for you, then there will be no need to question it. Heartbreaks sometimes come out of pursuing the doubtful emotions that cloud the heart. This is where the usefulness of cross examining your feelings comes in place," Jun answered, ignoring the oddity of this conversation with an acquaintance. But it was interesting anyway.
"Besides, even in the most certain of feelings comes the worst of heartbreaks. Someone once told me that hurt is the price you pay for love, so, I dunno. Questioning questionable feelings is just one way of hurting yourself, and following your heart blindly is another," he added.
Wishing he was in somewhere less heated, Jun wondered if he could get his company outside where the air is less recycled. He wanted to get out of the cafe, but he didn't want to drop the conversation.
"Say, would you like to go somewhere cooler? An outdoor cafe perhaps? And hopefully not in one where I'd be mistaken for a waiter again," he said, mumbling the last sentence with a bit of annoyance. "Or we could stay here... I dunno. (-_-) It's just that, the place is rather warm, and I see you've been fanning yourself with recycled air in this place. I think the ventilation isn't too good."

"So we have to know and feel at the same time... But what if your heart disagrees with your mind? What if your feelings contradict what you know?" she wondered, asking herself more than Jun. "But even though that happens, it's considered cliché and impossible. Do you think love is the certainty of your feelings?"
This argument was getting interesting, but Jun was right. She smiled a bit, remembering how they've met in the first place. "Yes, you're right," she said, a bit nostalgic. She raised her arm and a waiter came. She asked for the bill and paid it. "It's on me," she said, paying Jun's orders too. She stood up and gathered all her things, including the forgotten jacket. "Let's go have an ice-cream," she smiled.
[OOC: After you reply, I'll start a thread at the Sno-cone Stand. Meet you there!]

Jun laughed a bit.
"Sometimes it could mean you're over-analyzing the situation, other times, some other factors cause confusion. In any case, I do not know if love is the certainty of my feelings. What I know is thinking too much about love is difficult and it'll definitely drive someone crazy. Then here comes the purpose of having friends to talk about it with," he answered, remembering pals in junior high who'd share sob stories while Jun would try not to be annoyed too much about their miseries in life.
Jun had wanted to pay for their breakfast, but Mika beat him to it. But it wasn't an issue with him, he could accept it if his lady company is gallant.
"Thanks for breakfast, although I'm trying not to be too embarrassed about having you pay for my coffee and tiramisu," Jun said, standing up, waiting for Mika to gather her stuff. "The ice cream stand isn't too far out here, I suppose I could leave my car parked and we could walk off this breakfast we just had," he added.

"Point proved," she said and raised her free hand as a sign of her surrender. "I think you're right, over-analyzing something that has no definite definition," what a lame pun, she thought, "can drive you nuts." She rose an eyebrow. She had many of those melodramatic girl friends in Russia so she had to chuckle when she remembered them. It was odd. She liked to exaggerate things and she was known for being a drama queen to the point of ridicule, but when the drama was centered around her feelings and especially her feelings for someone, she was anything but dramatic. Was she a hypocrite, then?
"Don't mention it, I hate eating alone and I enjoy a good argument any time," she winked. Indeed, solitary meals were never something pleasant for Mika. "I have no idea where the ice-cream stand is...," she said, somewhat lost. This was her first time in the city, so she still had some doubts about where was what. She hoped Jun knew better, since she was utterly lost at taking directions.
