Kayoko went up to the temple and sat down politely. She wasn't too happy about her father disappearing, then her mother dying...Who would be? *It's life...It's life...It's the role of life...*, Kayoko said over and over inside her head. She sighed, it wasn't working..The more she knew they were gone, the more she couldn't let it go. Kayoko sighed again and closed her eyes, and eventually went into a daydream, picturing something happy to take her mind off the horrible turn of events that had happened.

Yonutsune, taking advantage of her day off, was walking around this place called the Kompirasan Temple simply out of boredom. The day wasn't too sunny, nor too gloomy so naturally she was feeling a bit of monotone. That is, until she saw a very sad looking girl sitting in front of the temple. Yonutsunes' feelings shifted towards curiousity and concern as she slowly approached the girl. It could be best to leave her be to work out her own problems but Yonutsune was prone to being concerned about others' constantly, though she didn't want to care about such things. 'Maybe she'll talk to me, maybe she won't.' Yonutsune thought. 'I'll just have to see.'
As she took her final steps towards the brunette she pushed all feelings of doubt away and sat next to the girl, though not too close as not to make her feel as if she were crowded.
"Hello." Yonutsune greeted politely. It wasn't really in her best interest to be polite all of the time, but since she was new to this country she would try it first, and then probably retreat to her usual self. The girl that didn't really care about much of anything, or anyone. "Call me Mei. What's your name?" She began before she got to the real point.

Kayoko smiled and turned to the nice girl. "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mei-san. My name is Kayoko." She nodded. "It's nice out. Not too rainy or sunny. More inbetween..", Kayoko said looking at the sky dazed a bit. She shook it off quickly and smiled again. "I like this place, a place to sort out memories and thoughts, and it's calm and quiet. What do you think about it, Mei-san?"

"You're right about that. It's just perfect I guess you could say. And yes, it is a good time to think about such things." Yonutsune took a quiet, but deep breath and then said, "However, you don't have the expression of pleasurable memories on your face. Could it be that your memories aren't so wonderful to think about on a day like this?" She shifted her gaze towards Kayoko, waiting to see her expression. Would it change to become surprised? Or maybe sadder. She didn't know. But Yonutsune did enjoy surprising people.

Kayoko frowned. "Oh my! I might have given you a wrong impression of me! I am usually very happy, especially on days like this, but...", She stopped talking and smiled. "I guess it's okay to tell you, because we're going to be friends, after all!...Well, my mom died of cancer and my father disappeared. And the rest my family is living in America so...Yes. Just my ferret Jun, my mouse Yuki, and myself. But that's ok, this stuff happens.", She said smiling sadly.

Yonutsune shifted her eyes once again, this time to admire the temple. "So you're left alone in Japan without anyone to take care of you?" Yonutsune asked, but made it sound more like a statement. "It is difficult trying to become independent at a young age." She said calmly, thinking about how she was usually alone with only a nanny to take care of her during her childhood, due to her fathers' career and her mothers' support and work as well. "But, dependence isn't exactly the greatest either, do you agree?" She asked, in a bit of a daze as she remembered all the times she'd moved around to different countries and barely saw her parents at all.

Kayoko nodded. "It can get lonely." She smiled. "But I'm not totally alone! I have my pets, and my friends like Tomomi-san, Jiang-san, Yasuo-san, Mika-san, Lenore-san, Jun-san, Adam-san, Kiyoshi-san, Tsukiko-san...And you! I also have you, Mei-san!"

Yonutsune gazed at Kayoko with her brow furrowed. She seemed to be very warm towards Yonutsune, which was something she wasn't used to, and all the friends she had was a little overwhelming. "Yes. You have little things to keep you company." She stated while thinking of her mouse Chido and her cat Seibo.

Kayoko nodded and smiled. "Most everyone does! So thank you Mei-san!"

Yonutsune bowed her head lightly for whatever reason and then gazed forward. "But for what reason are you lonely? I'm not being nosy, so you don't have to tell me." She explained in a calm tone, as usual, and waited for Kayoko's answer, if there would be one at all.
