It was Setaku's first time at the school, after he had settled down and become acquainted with his surroundings in the dorm, he headed out towards the main foyer. Setaku had his mind set now on looking around and founding out about the school that he would now spend more than six monthes out of the year at. He always found the idea of a boarding school peculiar, when he found out that he would be attending one, he couldn't help but feel a large amount of curiousity. Schools like these had always fascinated him in more than one way. It seemed like they were packed full with a variety of life and different species, not only people but animals too. Everyone and everything was so different and new, it gave him an almost dizzy feeling.
The reason why he was here wasn't as grand as the scenary that surrounded him now. The lush green grass which was cut almost as if someone had intended to play a few holes on it and the rich shrubbery surrounding the school in full circle shaps and squares. Heading across the lawn, Setaku felt like he was killing the already flattened grass with every step, he was now only a few paces outside the main foyer when he stopped. The entrance leading inside was a very nice one, large and very flashy. Like everything else around here, Setaku thought to himself with an inwardly suppressed laugh. It was ironic to see how willing the school was to show off it's wealth. It was odd almost. Staring across the vast expense of campus, Setaku almost expected to see a caravan of brand new expensive cars parked bumper to bumper waiting to drive a few of the students around to their next class. He shook this thought off, only coming to a further conclusion that he was to weird for his own good.

Yasuo smirked as he saw yet another Daaku student arrive. The words Akemi had said rang through his mind, and now he most certainly agreed: there was a rather large influx of them.
Yasuo walked up to the new guy. He, like all the others, seemed to admire the school. "It grows on ya," Yasuo said, stepping next to the spectator. "Soon, if won't even look like a wealthy school. It'll just be a regular home that you just can't seem to pull away from. It holds a certain magic." Yasuo laughed.
"Or, perhaps it isn't the school that holds the magic. Maybe it's the people," Yasuo pondered. He shrugged and sighed. "Either way, you won't regret coming here." And he stepped a little farther ahead of the new guy. "So, allow me to be the first to welcome you to Tama Boarding School. Whether you're looking for sports or studying, you won't regret coming here."
Yasuo spun around to face the guy again. "I'm Yasuo. Nice to meet ya."

Post by Mika Yukio on Feb 13, 2006 12:16:00 GMT -5
A brunette girl in jeans and t-shirt exited the school's main building with a rucksack swung on her shoulder. She looked a little sleepy, which was sort of weird since it was almost lunch time. This girl was Mika, of course, and she was heading towards the urbanization for an ice cream. She had wanted to see the town for quite a while now, but didn't really have time for it. Homework and Japanese didn't let her. She didn't know she had that much trouble with Japanese until she got here, really. Her father had always said she was doing it fine. Now, though, she had to seriously work on the accent and the pronunciation, which she disliked profusely. Just then, she saw Yasuo and someone new some feet in front of her. She grinned and walked towards them, observing the new student was in Daaku. Good, now she'd have the chance of meeting new people at the time of complying with her responsibilities as Student Advisor. "Hey, Yasuo-san!" the brunette cheered. "And hello to you too, I'm Mika," she added, nodding at the new one. He was a good-looking older mix of Japanese and western features, she guessed English maybe. He looked a little uncomfortable with the situation, but everybody was like that the first time. Even Mika had been intimidated, but the students that had gathered around her to help her feel better had achieved their purpose. She only hoped she could do the same.

Kayoko saw Mika, Yasuo, and a new student. She quickly rushed over to greet them all. "Hello, Yasuo-san, Mika-san, and new student-san! My name is Kayoko Arigawa! It is such a pleasure to meet you, I hope we can be friends!" Kayoko said, bowing and smiling happily.

Yasuo nodded to Mika and smirked at Kayoko as they came up. Their cheerful attitudes was enough to put Yasuo in a pretty good mood; good enough to keep himself rooted to the spot. "Hey," he said simply.
"Just telling the new guy here about our home." Yasuo nodded towards the Boarding School's entrance. "But since you guys are here and you're both in Daaku, I'll let you do the talking from here on." Yasuo smiled and took a step back, allowing for both Mika and Kayoko to step in front of him.

Kayoko shook her head. "I think you should stay here! You're one of the only boys in Daaku, and now you have a friend that's a boy and in your kami!" Kayoko smiled again. "You guys might even have the same classes together! Tomomi-san and I have the same classes together!"

Yasuo coughed. "Uh, Kayoko...I'm in Kurenai." But he smiled anyway, "But a guy influence would be nice." Yasuo laughed. It had been a while since he had engaged in conversation with any sort of male.
Yasuo scratched his head, "Makes me wonder if I'm the only guy at this school." Yasuo joked, laughing.

"Nope, not really, Yasuo-san," Jun interrupted from behind with a grin. He was on his way out towards the orchards, which was his favorite part of the school and was passing the small group of students when he overheard Yasuo's joke.
"Hey, Kayoko-chan," he greeted, recognizing the girl who splashed cold water on him the first time they got acquainted. He then nodded at the brunette whom he recognized to be a student from Daaku. Noticing the new student for the first time, he figured that they were probably trying to make the guy comfortable. Jun vaguely remembered his own first time in Tama, but nevertheless, all the other new students felt the same, uncomfortably awed.
"Hope you enjoy it here, I'm Jun Seido, by the way," he said to the boy and was ready to go out. Jun was rather in a hurry to get out, the orchards were waiting for him, not realizing that he didn't bother to know his name. Jun, under normal circumstances wouldn't have left in a hurry, but, this wasn't one of those normal days.
"Anyway, see you guys around. I really have to go, Ja, minna-san." he said, waving himself out of the foyer.

Post by Camilla Macaulay on Feb 15, 2006 16:46:46 GMT -5
"Well." A new voice, female by tone, interjected pleasantly, its' accented lilt made it seem to carry up and over the heads of the students. Camilla Macaulay appeared from behind Kayoko and Yasuo, a polite smile curving her lips. As was her custom, she wore a white polo shirt with pale khaki slacks, her bobbed hair floating angelically around her face in little waves. She looked a bit out of place in the splendor of the Foyer in her plain, solid colored clothes, but the way she wore them gave one the impression that she had all the grace of a dancer in their extravagant outfits. Her grey eyes were the only thing about her that seemed hard, and at the moment they were on the new comer.
"You must be new! I'm Camilla Macaulay." By-passing Yasuo, Mika and Kayoko, Camilla walked up to the new boy and stuck out her hand, secretly hoping that the boy spoke English. In all appearances, she was the epitome of politeness. But her previous brush off of the other three students, as small as it was, revealed she wasn't as polite as she made one think. However, anything of the sort was unreadable in her finely chiseled features or in her solemn eyes as she stood before the boy.
Camilla had just finished unpacking her things in her dorm, a pleasantly small room she had to admit, and was wandering the building, hoping to eventually maker her way outside. However, spotting the opportunity of meeting new people, Camilla decided it wouldn't be too bad to be side-tracked for a moment.
As if just realizing the other three students were there, Camilla turned her head and gave them all a brilliant smile. "Hello to you as well, Mika, Yasuo and Kayoko. How is your day going so far?"((Forgive the crappiness of this post... ))
