"I like to read as well, I haven't been horseback riding much before though." Yonutsune replied as she continued to work on her flowers. "And buruu is the mathematical kumi. So, naturally I'm studying more...uncreative subjects this year than I would like to. I have a lot of work to do, so I find it hard to get time away from problem-solving and algebra." Yonutsune felt herself becoming frustrated, but quickly made herself calm down. "It's not that bad all the time, but I would rather prefer daaku or kurenai for myself. What kumi are you in by the way?"

Kohana smiled, if it hadn't been for kaylee (her friend back in the states) she would never have rode in the first place. Kaylee had forced her to get over her fear of the big beast and in turn Kohana had learned to like them.
"Oh, okay I understand now. Those are time consumeing classes. I never did like algebra, but at least it is better than geometry." Kohana could tell Mei-san was getting a little frustrated and shifted in her seat.
"I was put into Kurenai."

"Ah, so you're a writer," Yonutsune began. "What do you like to write?" She asked, finishing her drawing then grabbing for her paints.

Kohana was a little embaressed about this topic. "I like to write stories but I never get around to finishing. Guess you could say I have a short attention span. I always come up with another one and never finish the ones I was working on. " She didn't think she was much good, but it was something to do. Her friends back home had liked to read them as well, when she let them.
"Plus when I'm given an assigned paper I like to try to put a spin on it, or at least not make it so dull that I won't want to finish it." Kohana smiled at some of the reactions her mother had had when she was gradeing her papers.
"If you don't like math you must be good at it to end up in Buruu. Do you like another type of math of something?"

Yonutsune turned her head towards Kohana at that question, thinking of how her father would only let her be put in a kumi that was "educational". She remembered he'd said, "You don't have time for that art rubbish." and frowned at the memory. "Not quite." She began, once again focusing on her art. "My dad wanted me to be in Buruu, though I was elegible for Daaku or Kurenai as well, but he wouldn't stand for that so I'm stuck in Buruu. But that's okay. I have friends in Daaku and Kurenai, like Yasuo-san and Tomomi-san for instance. Do you know them?"

Kohana decided then not to bring up that topic again. Appaerntly Mei-san was still sore about it. She pushed a strand of hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.
"I've met them both, Tomomi-san was very nice." Kohana left it at that not quite sure where she stood with Yasuo-san. "Do you have friends in Buruu as well?"

"I've heard of a few, such as a girl named Akemi, but I don't know her." Yonutsune replied, noting that Kohana hadn't mentioned her input on Yasuo. 'Can't blame her. She's probably not the only one having mixed feelings about him.'

"Oh, I've also met another girl she was very nice but also applogized for everything. Talktive too, I just can't remember her name at the moment."
Kohana looked intently as Mei-san worked it was comeing along nicely.

"That sounds like Kayoko-san." Yonutsune said nonchalantly as she focused on putting red on the roses. "It's good that you're meeting people at tama. I was the new student before you came, and I was lucky to have Yasuo-san, Mika-san, and Jun-san help me on my first week. But I know how it feels to be completely lost in a large place like Tama."

"That's her name, Kayoko-san." Kohana grinned. "I 'm glad I've met you four so far. I'm afraid I haven't met the other two you mentioned."
Kohana's eyes widened ,she was surprised by two things, the first was about Yasuo-san. She really only met him briefly for the fist day. Kohana didn't know he was the the type of person to make a habit of helping fumbling newbies. The second was that Mei-san was newer too.
"It us definitely a big school, I still have trouble finding my way some times."
