Ryo looked at her surprised, "Doesn't like it? Then...Why does he do it?"
He sat down on a bleacher across from Kayoko and spoke, "Is he getting paid or..." Ryo shook his head, "I doubt that...Could he be trying to impress someone?"

Kayoko smiled weakly. "He was trying to prove himself...He was not paid. I'm pained to see he's unhappy with the choice he made, whether or not good." She grinned. "But I'm sure he would love to have a match with you, I bet you're not a sore loser."

"Sore loser or not, I don't like to fight or skirmish against friends," Yasuo stated from the side of the bleachers. He was leaning on the very end, his back to Kayoko and Ryo, where he was casually feeling the tip of his blade.
"And I'm not the sort of guy to get paid to do something. Least ways," Yasuo sighed, hanging his head, "Not anymore. But that's besides the point." Yasuo turned around to face Ryo. "I may fence and as Kayoko said, I may have some skill, but I don't enjoy it. These things," Yasuo held up his sheathed sword, "are used to kill people. Innocent or guilty, young or old. Its up to the wielder, but when the wielder is insane..or bloodthirsty....or paid," Yasuo muttered, "then there's nearly nothing that can stop that one..fatal..swipe." Yasuo slashed the wind with his sword to emphasize his point.
"So, no offense to you at all Ryo, but..I'm going to have to decline your offer. Maybe when I get better or..more comfortable.." Then he turned to Kayoko and gave her a sad smile.
"Well, I've gotta get going. Was just passing by and decided to drop in, hope you don't mind. See you guys later." He then ambled across the track towards the school building, making some of the runners out there curse as they had to dodge the apathetic Yasuo.

^^' Kayoko smiled at Yasuo, then turned to Ryo. "So now it's a no. I'd spar with you, but I don't really like violence..." She shook her head. "Sorry."

Ryo lifted his shoulders in a "Oh, well" kind of way, "I was actually just wondering if someone could teach me a little better. I'm okay at it. And besides, don't they have practice swords here?"
He thought aloud, "The plastic or wood ones?" Ryo laughed, "What did you think? That I'd actually practice with a real one!"
He continued laughing at how foolish that would be. Ryo stopped abruptly and spoke, "I mean, do they?" Ryo gulped, "Can you only practice with...Real ones here?"

O.O' Kayoko's cheerful smile faltered. "N-No, they don't let us use real ones...I think."

Ryo sighed, "Fwew..."
He paused, "I hate to admit it but, I stink at fencing actually..." He sighed again and stood, "Well, I guess I'll go back and run."
Ryo smiled, "It was nice to meet you Miss Kayoko!" He started to run down the stairs of bleachers with his water bottle in hand, but his shoe laces tangled and he tripped, "AH!!!!"
He somersaulted down the bleachers and onto the side lines, and moaned, "I'm okay..." Ryo stood and wiped himself of dirt and turned to Kayoko giving a thumbs up while people stared at him.
Ryo joined the runners after a moment of stretching.

Kayoko gasped. Her face- "Careful, Ryo-san!" After getting the o.k., she decided to leave and go see about that party Ryo was talking about. Maybe he would be there!
