There wasn't a bone in Ryo's body that didn't like a good basketball game or practice. He was practicing his foul and three-pointer shots and it was uncommon to miss for him. There were other people who were playing, a lot of them were really good. And then there were people all over, watching. Some best friends, some girlfriends and some boyfriends. Ryo did a perfect shot at that moment, but then his next shot hit off the rim and headed straight for somebody's head. "Heads up!" He yelled.

It had suddenly hit Yonutsune, that it had been forever, if not close to, since she'd done anything athletic ever since she arrived at Tama. And considering the wonderful space they had for things like sports, she wanted to take advantage of it.
Of course, she would never be caught doing anything like Basketball or soccer...or any other sport for that matter, without a friend, so she'd taken a distant Buruu student with her, almost having to beg.
However, her friend had excused herself momentarily for the restrooms, leaving Yonutsune alone.
She sighed, accepting the excuse and was about to throw the basketball once again into the hoop, but suddenly heard, "Heads up!" and turned around by reflex. In an instant, she saw a ball heading straight towards her face, but froze up and felt it colide with her, making her fall down.

Ryo ran over to the unfamiliar girl that got hurt, "Are you okay???"
He started to help her up, "Here let me help you up! Oh man...I'm sorry!"

"Ow..." Yonutsune murmured as she let someone help her up. By the strong grasp, she bet it was a guy. Her hand was sheilding her face, which she was pretty sure either had a very noticeable red mark on it, or was beginning to bruise.
"It's fine. I get hit all the time." She said, trying her best to crack a smile. That is, until she realized how awkward that sounded. She should her head anyway, sure he wouldn't look into the statement. "I'll just have to get an ice pack maybe, or something." She said, finally removing her hand from her face, and looking at the person.
He had orange hair, dark blue eyes, and fair skin. She was sure she'd either seen him around, or someone had described him to her. She thought about it for a moment then exclaimed, "Hey! You're Ryo Matsuka, right?"

"Yeah. But, are you sure you're okay?" Ryo was still worried for the girl after she said she gets hit a lot, "Now, how could someone hit a person like you a lot? They must be blind then!" He exclaimed with a smile.

Yonutsune blushed, then blinking multiple times before going into a nervous laughter. "No, I'm not beat or anything. I'm just a klutz, that's all." She explained, finally calming down.

Ryo laughed, "Well, getting hit with a ball isn't being a klutz. My fault. Entirely."
He was interested in this girl. Ryo had seen her around the school, but never introduced himself to her, "So, may I ask your name? Do you still need an ice pack?"

Yonutsune shook her head first. It didn't hurt much anymore, so she guessed it was bruising. Well, she didn't bruise easily anyway. "I'll be fine. And, my name is Yonutsune. Please to meet you Matsuka-san." She always thought of using last names first, being she was in Japan and she heard it was the respectful thing to do.

Ryo shook his head, "Don't be so formal." He looked at her with a charming smile, "Please, call me Ryo."
Ryo looked at her, while bouncing the ball in front of him, " 'You know how to play?" He asked.

"Mmmm...well, I learned a little while I lived in America, but we didn't stay long so..." She suddenly trailed off. She was only ten when she was in America, and as usual they'd moved away soon after. She was trying to search her mind for any trace of the rules or anything, but it was a sore attempt.
