Kei went out of the car with her bags, her father with her. She looked at him and frowned. "Auf wiedersehen, der vater." He nodded at her and smiled sadly. "Die tochter, es macht nichts...Viel glück." Kei hugged her father, then he left Kei with just her bags. She only knew one real word that could be of real use in this new place... "Gurrin..."
("Goodbye, father." "Daughter, it doesn't matter...Good luck.")

Strange language to be speaking in Japan, Yasuo thought. He watched intently as the new girl was dropped off by her father. He watched as they hugged and spoke in another language. Then the father drove away, leaving the girl with her bags. She murmured something that sounded like Gurrin...was she in that kumi?
Yasuo approached her silently, feeling his curiosity rise. Something about this one...
"Hey," he spoke in a soft voice, "Do you need help?"

Kei turned around to a boy at least a year older than her. "Ja!?...Guten tag." (Yes!?...Hi.) She pointed at herself, then at the guy. "...Gurrin?"

Yasuo blinked, registering her actions. He smiled weakly, shaking his head. "No, I'm not in Gurrin. No Gurrin," he said, pointing to himself. "Me..Kurenai. You," he pointed at her, "Gurrin."
Yasuo sighed and smiled again. "My name is Yasuo. My name," Yasuo pointed at himself again, "Yasuo. What is your name?" He repeated his own name twice, pointing at himself. Then he pointed at her and asked for her name the same way. "Your name?"

Kei crooked her head to the side, confused. "...Name?...Gurrin? Name is Gurrin!", Kei said proudly after thinking for a while. She looked at him strangely. "Yasuo Kurenai?"

Yasuo laughed, grinning at her. "No, no." He pointed to the symbol of a swordfish on his outfit, and the color of the symbol. "Kurenai." Then he pointed at his face and smiled, "Yasuo." He repeated this once more, hoping she would see the difference.
Then he pointed at where the symbol of Gurrin would be if she were in a uniform, "Gurrin." Then he pointed at her face and shrugged. "But...name?"

Kei got it now! "Me Kei, Yasuo!" She thought for a moment. Yasuo... Sounded familiar. "Yasuo?...Other name.", She said, pulling some English words from her head. "...Last name. Yours."

"Other name? Oh, last name." Yasuo smiled at Kei. He didn't want to keep throwing out things, for it was apparent she could hardly speak English. So he shook his head to save her more confusion and to keep his calm.
"Tell you some other time," he spoke slowly. "Right now, I want to show you around." He pointed at the large boarding school. "I want you to follow me," he pretended to walk and pointed at the empty space behind him. "Follow me."

Kei nodded and followed Yasuo like a duck. "Muß ich umsteigen?" She shook her head and mentally hit herself, and shut herself up. (Do I have to change?)

Yasuo blinked, looking over his shoulder. But he smiled at her and stepped into the Foyer of Tama. "This is our school. This is where you'll be learning for awhile!"
He spun around to face Kei. He pointed at her and then at himself. "You feel different from others. Want..to..be..friends?" He nodded while pointed at himself then nodded while pointing at her. "F-r-i-e-n-d-s?"
