Mika had some free time and she wasn't in the mood for running. Iko had also made it a point that he didn't want to play with her. After a few scratches, she got it. Never disturb the cat while sleeping. Noted. So here she was, preparing herself for a good soak. She was braiding her hair now. She usually either let it loose or in a pony-tail, but water would seriously mess her long hair if she didn't at least braid it. She finished the tight braid and tied it with a red band. Then, she stripped her clothes off, leaving her standing in a black and red, sporty-looking swimming suit. She folded the clothes and put them on a bench along with her towel and her bag. Then, she started stretching and preparing her muscles for the effort following. When she finished, she took a few steps back and ran in the pool's direction. She jumped into the water, causing a commotion of splashing sounds and rippling waves. She emerged from the water smiling, eyes sparkling with glee. This was, undoubtedly, her element.

Kayoko put on an old-fashioned swimsuit, and gulped. Back in her town, they had no pools or areas of water. She only went swimming once, and that was in the bathtub, when she was 4! "So..How's the water??" Kayoko asked.

Mika grinned at the girl and started swimming towards the edge. "Water's great, get it! I'm Mika, by the by," she said and grinned. It was great meeting new people. New school always meant a new start. A new meaning, something new to hold onto. Something very familiar with hope. She chuckled inwardly, but didn't say anything. She just waited for the girl to answer.

Kayoko smiled. "I'm Kayoko! Nice to meet you, Mika-san!" Kayoko turned her attention back to the water.. "How deep is it??" Kayoko asked.

Mika smiled. "Pleased to meet you," she said, smile forming to a grin. "The water's about 1'60m around here," she motioned around her and sat on the bottom of the pool. "But it gets deeper as you get closer to the springboards," she added as an after-thought.

Kayoko glanced at the water.. So deep.. "Er, right, be right there!" Kayoko said as she took an uneasy step in. As soon as Kayoko put her foot in, she jumped back like a cat.

Mika laughed softly, maybe a little coldly at Kayoko's fear. In her opinion, water was something so pleasant, it just couldn't be feared in any shape or form. And besides, 70% of the human being was water, so in a way, it was like fearing yourself. But she didn't just sit there laughing. "What do you think if I swim to the stairs and you enter from there? It's not very deep around there," she said with a smile. Kayoko looked like Iko before having a bath. Koto, though, would have gladly jumped by herself into the water, wanting to be washed and cleaned while Iko would try and scratch his way out while doing as much noise as possible. She grinned and started doing back laps towards the stairs.

Kayoko nodded and walked towards the stairs. She took a gentle step in, and the water was a little cold, so she shivered. And every 20 seconds, she'd take another slow step in.

Reaching the stairs, she sat down on the bottom one and watched slightly amused as Kayoko made her way into the water. Seeing it took her quite a lot, she decided it wouldn't be too bad to help her get more acquainted with the water. She bit her lip and looked at her mischievously. Then, slowly getting up, she climbed a few stairs and got behind her. Once there, she splashed water onto Kay's back, laughing all the while. "WATER FIGHT!" Mika shouted, and the sound echoed trough the nearly empty place.

Kayoko screamed as she tripped off the stairs from surprise. She came up to the surface and laughed. "Thanks for...Splashing me!"
