It was a beautiful morning when Tomomi woke up, the sunlight was on the trees by her window even though the winter and snow was strong, and the winter birds were singing their sweet songs.
She rose from her bed and read the clock, 6:45
She had at least fourty-five minutes until she had to leave.
So, Tomomi quickly got ready and read the clock again, 7:05.
She had plenty of time!
So she decided to write to her family back in Okayama, her home South of Tama Boarding School.
She wrote:
Dear Mother, Father, Takeo, Takeru, and Takuro
I'm having a great time here at Tama, I've made a bunch of new friends and was even reunited with my best friend from grade school, Tsukiko!
I do miss you lots, but I know being here will help me for life in the future, being alone and on my own, and that sort.
Don't worry, I haven't met any boys who have caught my interests yet.
Other than homework, I am having a great time.
Kayoko, my new friend, let me borrow, I don't know if it's for keeps or not, a walkie-talkie!
I haven't tried it out yet, but it does look and seem like fun to use.
So that's all I really have to inform you, I wish for you to all be well and safe. Please reply soon.
Lots of Love,
Tomomi
Tomomi put the letter in and envelope and put it in the her mailbox hanging outside her door and put the red flag up, then strutting down the hall to her classes, she smiled, thinking of what joy that letter would bring, especially to her brothers.
