Hi hi everyone. Does anyone know what the name's of the kumi's mean, or are they just random words Hitomi made up?

I'm pretty sure they mean something, since she did use them at the old site... I have no idea what they could possibly mean though, very sorry.

Kumi means class or group
Kurenai means deep red or crimson, hence Hitomi chose the phoenix as the animal symbol for this kumi because of its crimson color
Guriin... lol. It means green, and I think if a Japanese was to say the english word 'green', it would sound like 'guriin'.
The same goes for Daaku... 'dark'. Again if a Japanese was to say the english word 'dark', it would sound as 'daaku'... so Daaku is pronounced almost as daak'.
This also goes for Buruu... meaning, yep, 'blue', the 'l' becoming 'r' in Japanese.
Tansai means 'light coloring', that's probably why the names are in yellow.

-double posts, hehe-
Also, Guriin means 'environment friendly', probably why it's the Science group.
