"As long as you're around, it'll be fine," Yasuo whispered. Unsure of whether Tsukiko heard him or not, Yasuo was about to say something when a voice came to his side.
And when he looked over, he was surprised to discover the owner of the voice was the girl from the foyer. Yasuo blinked.
"It's fine by me," Yasuo stated. He crossed his arms, his hard shell returning. He closed his eyes and sighed.

Tsukiko thingyed her head only to face Kayoko. She thought that Kayoko was busy? Must be done with her pets. She smiled in a friendly way. "Sure you can sit down! Oh and by the way, this is Yasuo. He's one of my new friends!" She turned her head back to look at Yasuo. "This is Kayoko! She is a friend of mine and the other girls. I hope you two will get along well!"

Kayoko smiled weakly. Yasou was being kinda hard, but Kayoko would be too in his situation, a girl just walking up to you and asking to sit down! Kayoko slowly sat down beside Tsukiko, and smiled nervously. "Um..Nice to meet you both also, Tsukiko-san and Yasuo-san"

(Sorry to interrupt but thingyed is there because my stupid computer is being weird.) Tsukiko gently elbowed Yasuo and whispered so Kayoko couldn't hear. "Try to be a little more friendly. Start a conversation."

Yasuo blinked, looking to Tsukiko. "But I--...okay," Yasuo sighed. Readying himself, he corrected his posture and put on one of the most cheesiest smiles of all time.
"So, Kayoko," Yasuo began, trying to make his voice loud and audible. It hurt his throat. His voice much too croaky to be speaking that loud. Yasuo lowered his volume.
"Um...great weather we're having, huh?" Yasuo desperately tried to hold his smile, looking hopefully at Kayoko. Was this how a conversation started...?

Kayoko forgot about her riceball for a moment and stared down at the table. She knew a fake smile anywhere, and Yasou was failing miserably. *Was it a good idea sitting here?? Am I not wanted at the moment??* Kayoko wondered inside her head. She sat up and smiled. "I'm so very sorry if I interrupted your conversation, Tsukiko-san and Yasou-san." Kayoko said.

"Oh your not interrupting at all! Please sit down." Tsukiko sweatdropped and looked at both her friends. This was going to take a while. She mumbled in Yasuo's ear. "Ask her how her day was. And you don't have to smile." She giggled to herself quietly.

Kayoko smiled sadly. Pretending to be happy was one of the nicest things anyone had ever done for her. But, he looked like he couldn't smile much longer. "You may drop the act Yasou-san. Thank you for putting forth your effort in trying to make me happy, both of you."

Yasuo nodded, preparing himself for another go. He inhaled and exhaled, before dropping the smile. The grim look on Kayoko's face made Yasuo feel guilty. He groaned, kicking himself.
"Kayoko...I'm sorry. I don't want to make you feel unwanted," he dropped his voice, "I know that feeling..." Sighing, he tried his best to keep his voice up. "Let me try again. *Ahem*...Kayoko, how was your day? Not too stressful, I hope. What with some of the homework these teachers are handing out now-a-days, the school life can get very, very stressful!"

Kayoko thought it was time for another go, she automatically mentally punched herself and tried her happy smile. "...It was fine, thank you for asking, Yasuo-san...." Kayoko said distantly. Kayoko sighed. That wasn't how she wanted to sound, she sounded so..depressed! She was putting too much forth mentally, and tried to smile again. It came out as a do-you-want-me-to-leave, sad smile. So Kayoko had glazed eyes, and a smile she was trying to hold up like an umbrella. Kayoko automatically wiped her eyes quickly.
