Kayoko looked at him and stumbled over. "You ok? We won't leave without you, you know.." Kayoko gentlely pushed him up and carried him with difficulty. Kayoko let some blood flow freely from her head, which landed on Yasuo. She used the wall as support, as she carefully lifted Yasuo over her back. Kayoko forced a grin. "Mika-san, new student-san, go on ahead..We'll be fine..and come out with you..." Kayoko leaned against the wall while trying to carry and talk to Yasuo.

Tomomi walked down the halls carrying her books, when suddenly she felt "that urge". She rushed to the bathroom but was stopped by the smell of smoke, "What'd Akemi do now?" She ran up there and saw some people, Kayoko was one, and she looked a bit under the weather, "Kayoko!" She coughed as she went in, "What's with all the explosions lately!?"

Kayoko smiled, and wheezed. "Tomomi..You should leave..I'll leave soon...promise..." Kayoko said with a rough cough. Kayoko slumped a little down the wall, then picked herself and Yasuo back up. "Life's..always worth living.." She whispered to Yasuo as more blood hit him lightly.

"That doesn't sound very genuine!" She raced over to Yasuo and Kayoko's sides helping them, "Hold onto me alright? And cover your mouth, this air probably isn't the best for you, and geez'um how much more bad can it smell?!" Tomomi continued to help them get out, covering her mouth with her arm, "Whoever was the jerk who did this is going to pay!" She stated.

Kayoko smiled slightly. "Thank you...Tomomi-sa-" Kayoko stopped as soon as a new pain soared through her head. "Eh..." Kayoko leaned on Tomomi's side, which was also starting to get a little wet. "It's most genuine...Tomomi-san..."

Sweat ran down Tomomi's face as she continued to help the two out. She had seen a few others, but they looked healthy enough to get out, besides, two was Tomomi's limit. Finally the three got out. Tomomi's muscles went sore and helped to put Yasuo down, and Kayoko too. "Stay here." She coughed, "I'm going to get the nurse. I don't think I can carry you any longer. Don't go back in there!" Tomomi ran off in search of a nurse. Luckily, just down the hall was a nurse. The nurse that was there wasn't the most favored one in the whole school, but at least she was a nurse. Tomomi gasped for air, "Please! There are few people who need help by the bathrooms! Come with me!" She ran back to the two, with the nurse following. Once there, she saw that they were both still there and sighed happily, wiping sweat off her forehead. The nurse did all her business and started to speak to Kayoko.

Kayoko talked to the nurse, and tolde her almost everything. "..So I saw smoke when I got there..." She said as her gash was taped up. She also had an ice pack taped to her head. Kayoko did a dry laugh. "I must look funny...Yes?" Kayoko gasped. "My..report...is due tomorrow..." She stood up and tryed to walk. Kayoko stopped when her fever reached 100.8* and leaned against the nearest wall. The nurse ran over and gently helped her over to the wall Yasuo was at. Kayoko put up a desperate attempt to fight back and go to the library, but was eventually put against the wall.

Tomomi bit her lip, worried for the others, she thought they'd make it out just fine but... She knelt down to Kayoko and Yasuo. The nurse was calling 911 so Tomomi tried to comfort Kayoko, for Yasuo was not conscious yet, "Who did that? Do you know?"

Kayoko shook her head. "I don't.." Kayoko vision turned hazy as she looked at Tomomi. "..Do you think...the others...are ok?" She looked at Yasuo, then Tomomi. "You..should check...and see...if they're ok...I'll...go with you..." Kayoko said as she tried to stand up.

"..." Yasuo completely ignored the nurse. He had his head hung low, tuning out the world outside his head. As the nurse questioned him as to what had happened, Yasuo could only hear the water from inside the bathroom. He had regained consciousness just now and was a little out of it.
"Life's always worth living." Is that what she had said? It was so hard to hear... Yasuo thought to himself, stuck within his trance. Yasuo had only just realized that everyone in that bathroom had tried to help him some. They all tried to help me...am I really so weak? Ha, completely useless. Life may be worth living to you, Kayoko. But I have nothing to live for. I can't even protect my friends. I'm weak and I think I'm finally losing my sanity.
The blood of Kayoko slowly dripped off of Yasuo's shoulder and onto the floor. Yasuo's eyes wandered over to the small drop, taking in the color of crimson. My blood..? No, I wasn't hit. It must be Kayoko's. Ha...strange. I'm dying with someone else's blood. Yasuo shook his head. No, not dying. Just losing it. Ah, what's the difference? Yasuo sighed and hit his head on the wall just to make sure he was still in it.
They did all try to help though. I can't be weak enough to just die and make their effort for naught. I have to be strong...I want to be strong. Stand up, Yasuo! Yasuo grimaced, sliding himself up the wall. "Still alive," he muttered triumphantly when he had finally stood his full length.
"I...can't thank you enough," Yasuo whispered. He seemed to be speaking to no one, but he wanted to get his message to everyone. His voice was low and hurt worse than it ever had. "You all proved to me that there are good people...and that I do have friends. Thank you," he coughed. His voice was inaudible, but he didn't care. He felt strangely at peace for a moment, thinking of nothing.
And then he smiled. He was happy enough to smile. Even though he leaned against the wall and felt as if he could fall down at any moment, he felt happy and free. And he couldn't stop the tears that silently streaked his face. Embarrassed, Yasuo slid back down and hid his face behind his hair. But it didn't stop. He was on the verge of laughter.
And he blanked out again, slumping down to the floor.
